Taye first got interested in writing when someone in high school asked her to write an essay for him and in exchange he would do her math homework. Moving her newfound talent of writing into the realm of competitive public speaking, her first written spoken word was about a girl doing ACID. She would have won the competition, but the judges questioned where she got her information. Instead, she placed in regionals behind some girl who pretended to be a fish.
Planning to go to college to study medicine, she decided at the last minute that would be a snooze, and instead hopped on the creative train.
Taye studied broadcast journalism about a lifetime ago and passed up some really great job offers to travel to California from Minnesota following a famous band. She wasn't a groupie or a musician, she was just young and wanted adventure. She took up songwriting, and wrote a few songs for some guys that actually got published.
Life is funny and twisted and after a bunch of crazy experiences now enjoys life as a mom and writes as a hobby. She is currently writing a memoir.
